We loved our visit at Schwartz’a Inn! So fun to stay at a place full of charm and history. It was great to just open the door and be right in the center of Uptown Kingston which was full of shops, restaurants and art galleries.

“Comfortable, spotless and walk able to great coffee and breakfast.”

We frequently visit Kingston to see family and this place is a perfect place to stay. There is plenty of space to stretch out and relax in this restored apartment. The painted tin ceilings are magnificent… and it was fun to imagine what life was like back when the building was built 100 years ago. Parking right outside your door is easy. The apartment is located on the second floor of a building right on the main street in Kingston, so one reviewer complained about some noise but it’s much better than staying in a hotel and hearing other people come back to their rooms and slam those heavy doors. Plus, staying on the main street means you are walkable to great food and coffee shops and Deisings, a breakfast place and bakery that my husband would bring us yummy food from every morning! That said the kitchen had everything we needed. The owners can recommend the best places around for whatever your interests are and they are a delight. Thank you Joe and Barbara!

Joe This must be the only AirBnB that is much larger than it seems in the photos. Full sized, fully stocked kitchen, comfy bed, books, board games, vintage magazines, movies on vhs, antiques and vintage prints. Also, this place is spotless and centrally located! Highly recommended!

Joe contacted us immediately upon booking and gave instructions for getting into the place. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Location is great – right in uptown Kingston. Biggest minus is the there were several bars nearby and it was nosy near closing time as a large parking lot is just outside.

“Great value, great location!”

I, being the consummate procrastinator, couldn’t find accommodations in a regular hotel for a wedding. It seemed that there were several big events planned this weekend in Kingston. I came to Trip Advisor and looked here. I called The Schwartz’s Inn after reading the good reviews.

Joe was wonderful in handling everything and made sure everything ran smoothly. The accommodations are on the 2nd floor above the owner, Joe’s Optometry shop. Parking is as close as right outside your door!!! Yes!!! A parking lot! The building is old, but very, very well maintained. Some of the rooms still have the tin ceilings of the past.

I took the 2 bedroom suite option as I was sharing it with someone else. My companion and I were surprised how spacious it was. it’s very roomy! While 2 couples could lodge here, there is a futon sofa in the living room that 2 more people could stay in. There is a full kitchen so it can really be helpful for those trying to limit dining out costs. Another thing I appreciated was how everything was walking distance from the Schwartz’s Inn. If you are here on a Saturday morning during your stay, be sure not to miss the farmer’s market around the corner. There are quite a few great shops in town and some nice little places to eat.

My companion and I would definitely stay here again! As a side note, there are some really great looking eyeglasses in the optometry shop. I walked out with a pair!

“Would definitely stay there again”

We met friends from New Jersey and stayed in the two-bedroom suite and would do it again in a heartbeat! The Inn was cozy, inviting, very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. All 4 of us loved it…

“Great option when family was in town!”

My mother and her husband were visiting a couple of summers ago for a couple of weeks and did not want to feel on top of us by staying in our guest room that long. So we found this option for them. I had heard of it through friends and I know the owners, who are as nice as can be.

This B and B is above his optician store. It was his grandparent’s home when he was a young boy, once upon a time ago. It is super sweet with tin ceilings and antiques, immaculately clean, super homey, has a kitchen, plenty of room, and is in a fun and nice part of uptown historic Kingston.

My mother loved it ! In the morning they walked to Deisings for breakfast, and there are so many excellent restaurants to walk to. Plus the farmer’s market on Saturdays. We let our kids have a sleep over with them to mix it up a bit for fun. One thing ..The stairs are steep and the ceiling on the way up is low…and my stepfather had to duck his head on the way up as its in an old historic brownstone type of upstairs unit. Other than that I thought it was so cute I was ready to move in myself!
